Monterey Bay Pipe Band Receives 1st Place Awards

August 28, 2004, Monterey, CA - In a sweep of both pipe band competitions, the Monterey Bay Pipe Band won two first place awards in the pipe band competition against eight other bands at the 37th annual Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival. The band performed a medley of tunes on the Highland bagpipe, snare drum, tenor drum and bass drum.

Members of the Monterey Bay Pipe Band also won first place solo piping awards, including Fred Payne and Brendan Allen.
